All our holiday cards are printed on 100% recycled, 100% post-consumer waste paper. We use soy based inks, biodegradable/compostable cellophane, and recycled cardboard.

We use 100% post-consumer waste paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council(FSC). All ink is soy based and non-toxic. Our paper is processed Totally Chlorine Free(TCF). All manufacturing is 100% wind powered generated. Cellophane sleeves for gift cards are 100% biodegradable.
       

Converting trees into paper uses large amounts of energy, water and chemicals, and can generate vast amounts of air and water pollution. Post-Consumer Waste Paper is paper that has been used by the consumer and kept out of a landfill through a recycling program. It is considered the most environmentally efficient, since it has had at least one useful life before returning to service.
       

Totally Chlorine Free(TCF) indicates that no chlorine or chlorine compounds were used in the pulping process. Chlorine bleaching produces by-products including dioxins and furans. When released into the water, dioxins do not break down. As early as 1985, EPA labeled dioxins “the most potent carcinogen ever tested in laboratory animals.”

Introducing Better Earth Emporiums re-usable Grocery Bagging System to our online customers. These pretty coordinating bags are sewn right here at BEE for the Eco-Conscious, Style-Conscious shopper, or anybody who just wants something attractive and different.
       
All our sets are constructed of used, sometimes new, clean good quality bed top sheets that have gone unsold at the Goodwill stores in our area. Better Earth Emporium purchases these sheets from the Goodwill Salvage store, just before they go out to the rag bundles. We only re-purpose the best, and stain free for our bagging systems. Bottom sheets are not ever used, because they tend to have worn weak areas and stains. All sheets are then cleaned and sanitized for your safety.
       
A cut apart plastic T-shirt bag was used for the first pattern, so cashiers love our bags, they fit on the standard T-shirt bag stands used just about everywhere. As you can see in the pictures that these bags are roomy and versatile, and STRONG! If you can handle it, so can the bag. I have thrown 3 gallons of milk into one in the pouring rain once, about broke my arm, but not the bag. We have sets of our own, and have been using them for everything for a long time. We started making them for sale after people all over wanted to know where we got them, and where they could get a set. Every grocery bag set is unique, no two sets are the same. Your neighbor is not going to have the same set you are.

We have found through our own use that, if the bags are folded with the pleats in, and the handles on top, stacked in the same direction put in 2 piles in the outer bag the cashier can grab and hang quickly with the least amount of fuss on their part.
