Myakka Fairtrade Fortnight Promotion: 25th February – 9th March 2008
“You Buy- We Donate!”
For every order over £100 made during Fairtrade Fortnight, Myakka will donate £10 to the SKSN Dairy Fund.
In 2007 Myakka raised over £1,100 for essential sports equipment for Vidhyashram School during the Fair Trade Fortnight promotion. This Fairtrade Fortnight they’re aiming to beat that target and raise more funds to help with the day-to-day running costs of the SKSN School Dairy. SKSN is a co-ed residential school providing education and healthcare to about 480 physically challenged children, based on the outskirts of Jodhpur.
The SKSN dairy provides essential milk & yoghurt for the student’s diets, however the running costs put a strain on the school’s already limited funds. Just £40 will cover the cost of feed, water and vet’s bills for one cow for a month. It’s really easy for customers to help and it doesn’t cost them a penny… they simply place their order for over £100 between 25th February and 9th March and Myakka will automatically donate £10 to the SKSN Dairy Fund.
